Meghan Faw

Originally from Houston, Texas, I began playing the piano at the age of 5 and the violin at the age of 7, using the Suzuki Method As a result, I bring a unique perspective to pedagogy as both a former Suzuki student and now as a Suzuki-trained teacher.

I went to the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and the reason I decided to pursue music as a career was because of the joy and sense of accomplishment it brought me. I went on to receive my Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin and my Master of Music degree from DePaul University.

I have received Suzuki Teacher Training through Suzuki Violin Book 7. I continue to take classes to improve my teaching and work closely with students and parents to ensure each student’s needs and learning style are being met.

When I’m not teaching, you can find me visiting state and national parks with my husband, playing board games, or reading a book.
